Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH received the AEO-F certificate. This certification is performed by the German customs administration and is granted to companies that meet especially high safety standards in dealing with customers in international commerce.

From 4th to 8th April 2011 Umicore Electroplating presented itselve with a new look and the new slogan "The world of noble and functional surfaces" at the ZVO "World of surfaces" exhibition stand in Hall 6.

The Umicore Electroplating app ist now available for Android and Blackberry systems. The up-to-date application provides fast access to valuable information like the current prices of the most important precious metals gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium and iridium.

With "RUTHUNA 490" Umicore Electroplating has developed a new black ruthenium electrolyte which can be deposited directly on bronze (e.g. MIRALLOY) or nickel layers.
